Diane Lane and James Gandolfini teamed up for New HBO Movie along with Tim Robins

Hey, the acting legends Diane Lane and James Gandolfini going to appear together for HBO movie along with Tim Robbins.

David Seltzer was the screenplay writer for the movie with Shari Springer Berman. Robert Pulci is the captain of the ship. The movie is set at the making of the groundbreaking 1973 PBS documentary series, An American Family.

Robbins will play dad Loud to Lane’s mom Loud, with Gandolfini playing a producer. So the cast is shaping up nicely. Still no word, though, on who’s going to play arguably the most important part: Lance Loud, the couple’s fitfully gay son who became a breakout star on and off the show.

The new HBO Filming is set to begin this summer in Los Angeles.
